היום (6.7.2020.) לפני 113 שנים נולדה פרידה קאלו, ציירת מקסיקנית.
פרידה קאלו היא אמנית שביטאה את רחשי חייה, את רגשותיה ואת כאביה באופן ישיר ונוקב על הבד. קאלו, אשר בדרך כלל ציירה את עצמה, שיחררה את הכעס, את הכאב, ואת הצער באמצעות הציור, וחשפה את עולמה הפנימי. פרידה ניסתה להבליט את היופי שבאי- השלמות.

כבר בגיל 19 צילם אותה אביה בחליפה גברית, כדי להבהיר לכולם מהו פמיניזם: להיות מי שאת, בדיוק כפי שאת רוצה, ולעזאזל הביקורת.
פרידה בחרה שלא להיכנע לתכתיבים לגבי יופי נשי ולכן השאירה את השפם והגבות המחוברות. גזיזת השיער(פעמיים) היתה אקט של כוח ונחישות, של ויתור מרצון על יופי ונשיות.
55 מתוך 143 ציוריה עסקו בה, והראו את עולמה הפנימי העשיר. זו היתה אמירה מובהקת, פוליטית, אישית ששמה אותה , האישה במרכז.
נושאי מגדר, זהות אישית, פוליטיקה, שורשים תרבויות, קומוניסטית נלהבת שניהלה מאבק לשיוויון וצדק חברתי.
אמנית ייחודית שהקדימה את זמנה.
משתפת אתכם בנושא שמעניין אותי ונוכח רבות בחייה וציוריה של פרידה קאלו. והיה גם חלק מחיי בתקופת נערותי, בטיפולים ליישור עקמת בגבי.
המחוך-
המחוך ליווה את פרידה רבות בדמות טיפול רפואי, מחוך גבס/ מתכת שעטף את גופה השבור כתוצאה מתאונה שעברה.
מחוך היסורים של פרידה –
מחוך זה אביזר שהאישה לובשת לגופה- מצד אחד הוא אמור לעצב את הגוף לגיזרה צרה ומחמיאה יותר לאישה מצד שני הוא גורם יסורים ואי נוחות שכן הוא לוחץ על הגוף והצלעות וככל שהוא הדוק יותר מצד אחד מחטב ומצד שני מכאיב ומייסר.
המחוך מדגיש את הכאבים והיסורים שפרידה חווה יום יום שעה שעה. גם כאן אפשר להסתכל גם פנימה וגם החוצה- כלפי חוץ המחוך מייפה וכלפי פנים מכאיב. כמו שפרידה מנסה כלפי חוץ להיראות חזקה ומוחזקת אך כלפי פנים מיוסרת וכואבת.

בחרתי לצייר את פרידה קאלו,
פרידה מסמלת בעיני דמות נשית חזקה אשר התמודדה בחייה עם קשיים פיזיים ונפשיים לאפשוטים.
כשאני מציירת פורטרט, הכי חשוב לי קשר העין שנוצר בין הדמות המצויירת למתבונן, ניסיתי להעביר במבטה של פרידה נשיות מצד אחד וחוזק ובטחון עצמי מצד שני וכל זה יחד עם קריצה של שובבות.
שילבתי בעבודה זו גם קולאז׳ נייר יחד עם צבעי השמן, אני אוהבת שהמתבונן מגלה לאט לאט את גיזרי הנייר שמשולבים בכיתמי הצבע, סוג של התבוננות חוקרת וממושכת שמגלה כל פעם משהו חדש בציור. אני חושבת שהצבעוניות של הדמות המצויירת מתאימה לצבעיםהרבים בחייה של פרידה.
בעיני היא סמל לנשיות חזקה, לא מתפשרת, מאוד אמיתית וכנה עם עצמה ועם הסביבה.
